Our computerized appointment system allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Client care representatives will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us (845) 634-4607.
Emergency & Urgent Care
The hospital is staffed during the listed hours of operation. Emergencies include things such as difficult breathing, convulsions, sudden profound weakness, poisoning, motor vehicle accidents, bloat and bleeding wounds. If you feel that your pet needs emergency treatment call 845-548-2749. A client care representative will instruct you. In some cases you may be instructed to do something prior to heading for the hospital, such as induce vomiting in certain poisonings.
After Hours Emergencies: If you need to reach us after hours call (845) 634-4607 and listen carefully to the instructions. Our internet voice mail system can take your message and reach the doctor on call. Please speak clearly after the prompt. On most days one of our doctors will return your call as quickly as possible until 10 pm. After 10 pm (and occasionally at other times) the message will direct you to the covering 24 hour emergency hospital.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our client care representatives will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
